7 Lips in 7 Days: Rimmel Provocalips in 'Kiss Fatal'

Day 3
Good Morning lads and lasses, how are we all on this wet morning (or at least where i am)?
I realised after having the pictures taken of this lipstick for maybe about 3 months that they were all super blurry and a bit crap quality, but i didn't have time to retake them this morning after having a very busy day yesterday and not getting round to pre-blogging, although i'm probably going to write a couple now to get myself back into the rhythm of it all. So i'm sorry about that and although i debated leaving them out, i thought that they are better then nothing but i wouldn't take just these as law, definitely Google some better swatches then mine to get a better idea of the proper colour.

Okay so, this product is one of those that promises huge things and at '16 hour wear' claims, i was less then convinced to be honest. But i picked it up in Boots a while back after seeing and absolutely loving the colour thinking it was something that fitted into a gap in my collection colour wise. It's a beautiful grungy plum colour that applies really intensely and evenly and can be built up to a deeper plum if that is what the desired look is going for.

The formula is kind of strange, as it's in two sections. The colour is applied with the colour stick and this goes kind of tacky when first applied. When it does go tacky, you pop the 'lock and shine' step on top of the colour and it sets it to a subtle shiny lip in a bold colour. This then lasts for a really long time without need to top it up, i tend to reapply a little of the second step throughout the day as the lipstick itself does tend to dry out my lips a little and the lock and shine does tend to add some well needed moisture, so if you do try these, i'd keep that in mind.

The colour itself lasts a really long time, i can eat and drink and it still lasts pretty much all day, and looks just as fresh as it did when i first applied. If the colour does start to wear off, it can be reapplied in the areas that need it without looking at all cakey or flaky. However, the downside of these doing lasting so long of course, is that they are a real bitch to remove. It takes quite a lot of scrubbing which, depending on your lips can dry them out something chronic. But i actually find in a really weird sort of way, this seems to exfoliate my lips slightly and leave them soft and smooth, mad i know, but it's doing something that i like which lends in it's favour.

In all, i love these. They truly do last as well as they say they do, and they are actually pretty decent to wear, although you could argue them being a bit too dry. But as long-wearing liquid lipsticks go, i'm really happy with these and i do wear this one on a regular basis, if i want something to last all day. Writing this blog post has made me rediscover these little beauties and i'm pretty sure i'll be picking some more up next time i see a colour that takes my fancy.
These are available from anywhere that stocks Rimmel, which is Boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets etc etc, and they are priced at £6.99 which is a little more pricey for a Rimmel lipstick, but i think they are definitely worth the money if you are in the market for a product like this.

Thankyou for reading guys!
