7 Lips in 7 Days: Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in '30'

Day 4
This lipstick is potentially one of my favourites ever. It was the first one i ever bought and i wore it to my prom two years ago. Since then, it's been a staple in my collection and i wear it so often as it's just a really gorgeous and flattering but somewhat unusual colour.
30 is a really pretty berry shade, that has a pink undertone to it, that means that although i reach for it more in autumn- winter, i can work it all year round. It's quite girly for those people who may not be fully comfortable going with a super vampy berry look for autumn.
The pigmentation with this lipstick is great and this holds true throughout the whole of the Kate collection. They all apply smoothly and evenly and i really like the feel of them on my lips. They don't slide around or dry my lips out and although there is a whole separate matte range, i'd say these as a range generally are semi-matte anyway, and as someone who has pretty much all of the Kate lipsticks, i think i am able to talk about the whole range pretty well.
I wouldn't say they last 8 hours how they say they do, but they definitely last well and when they do start to fade, it is very even and doesn't look messy. When you touch up, they don't go cakey and don't cling to dry patches on the lips as some lipsticks do. I also haven't found that they bleed at all, with or without a liner, and i can apply them very evenly round my lips quickly and easily.

For me, these lipsticks, especially this one, are like the baseline for comparison of other lipsticks so i see this as like a 'normal' lipstick, so i find it kind of hard to talk about. The line itself is huge with so many colours and it's still expanding. I've got around 24 of these and i know i still haven't got the full range, which i intend to over time.
The smell is something that is argued about a lot and is a bit like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. I actually adore it, and it's probably one of my favourite scents in makeup that i have found. It's really hard to explain so i do recommend that you have a swatch and a sniff if you see them on your travels. Each to their own, but i do really love it!
My only only criticism, is that i WISH they had proper names, the numbers are okay, but i'd love them to have names to refer to properly. But it's such a tiny picky comment that has no impact on the quality of the product, i don't mind that much.

In all, these are really affordable, good quality lipsticks, that i can comfortably wear for long periods of time without bleeding or any sort of smudging. These are potentially one of my favourite lipstick lines from the drugstore and they are just consistently good. So if you are after a specific everyday colour for not that much money, i'd have a look at these as they are well worth a try at £5.49 each.

Thankyou for reading guys and I'll see you tomorrow with another lipstick post and maybe later on with a post on something a little different!
